Nicky Arnstein, born as Julius Wilford Arnstein in 1879, was a notorious American gambler and con artist who became famous for his illegal activities in the early 20th century. He was also married to burlesque dancer and singer Fanny Brice. Arnstein was known for his involvement in various criminal activities such as fraud, bootlegging, and illegal gambling. He was eventually arrested and convicted of wire fraud and sentenced to serve time in prison. Despite his criminal background, Arnstein was often seen as a charismatic and charming figure, known for his lavish lifestyle and flashy personality. He was portrayed by Omar Sharif in the film "Funny Girl," which told the story of his relationship with Fanny Brice. Arnstein died in 1965 at the age of 85.
